We have had made to make the unfortunate decision to postpone the attempt until late July 2027.   We waited as long as possible before making the decision that it was just too dangerous for me and my support crew to safely do the swim.  The Bald Lake fire is still out of control and some Summerland residents  are still under evacuation. The road needed for our transport and support crew is not always accessible.  Okanagan Lake is still being used for water bombers and we do not want to impede any of their efforts.  Thank you so much to all the donors, your support and generosity has been incredible! The fundraiser will remain open throughout the year and donations will continue to go directly to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.  I will continue to train and push my limits this year, and will be more ready than ever for next summer!
